Yafeng Yin’s research interests lie in intelligent sensing and human-computer interaction in the field of ubiquitous computing, including algorithm design and system implementation. Specifically, she mainly focuses on the research of human activity recognition (e.g., sign language recognition and translation), multimodal sensing (e.g., visual sensing, inertial sensing, acoustic sensing), wearable computing and deep learning. She has published more than 40 papers, including at the top journals and conferences like IEEE TMC, IEEE TC, ACM UBICOMP, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM MM, IJCAI, AAAI, WWW, etc. She has received the Best Paper Award at the international conference MobiQuitous’13 and the Best-in-Session Presentation Award at the international conference INFOCOM’16. As a principal investigator, she has led multiple research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Program, NSFC Youth Project, Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, and so on.
